Why You Might Have Fungus in Your Grass or Plants

You don’t know how irritated we get when you spend all your time and money on a lawn and the next morning you wake up and there’s orange/brown spots all over your lawn. Sorry honey but you might have fungus. Fungus will always be in your soil. It just takes a certain thing to activate the fungus. 2 main reasons why you might have fungus.

1. Improper Irrigation control. Watering the lawn at certain times of day and how long you water can cause fungus to activate. The best time to water lawns is morning. Schedule a long water twice a week and allow the sun to dry the blades but keep the soil moist so the turf does not die.

2. Improper fungicide. All lawns are different so they should never be treated the same. Please talk to your lawn care guys to make sure they are using the correct product and that it is mixed correctly. Sometimes when we fertilize too much it can encourage growth.

Again these are only possible reasons and most common. We are not lawn experts but we do have enough experience and see enough to know the difference.
